Nilsson wrote quite a few beautiful songs which weren't top 40 sort of hits...Remember is one of my favourites. He's a somewhat forgotten and underappreciated songster I think. I love what you say about our pets dreaming and romping in the Elysium Fields....Brings to mind that sweet book by Cynthia Rylant, " Dog Heaven " where dogs get to run and run for delicious irresistable dog biscuits all day. And thank you for " reminding " me to trust in hope, love, and redemption. We'll all be there some day romping with the dogs :-)

Yes, the forgetting is making us all big losers. To remember in our superficial mental and "meat/mud" way can be an easy goal with several methods at our disposal, but I wish it were as easy in our Gnostic seekers way.....to really and truly remember who and what we are. And then act like it.

I often think about how can I connect with the " dreaming of paradise" in the Aeonic sense. It's a challenge in our material life. The conflicts that surround most of the globe these days are intense. There appears to be no place that's not affected. Ideas abound of what will make things right and perfect...Just like Tears for Fears sang, "Everybody Wants To Rule The World." Most of it has little cooperative effort or puts forth models in the " fix-ups".

I believe most people dream about what a paradise on earth would be like and they WANT that. Charles Eisenstein, another Substack writer wrote about " a more beautiful world our hearts know is possible ". Most people want this earth to be a good and beautiful happy place, and deep inside we "know" this place exists. But often I think it's imagined within an Egoic sensibility.

Even with descriptions of Heaven and Heavenly realms we read about, whether fantastical , biblical, or even those from NDE's, are we only imagining them in our human sense ? Can we connect to what the paradise the Eons dream of is like? I know it has to be filled with a warmth, softness of light, and a kind of love we can't even imagine. I would love to remember even a smidgen of it. What a balm that would be to soothe these times which can be coloured with so much melancholy. Here's to " remembrance ". Let it come, even a tiny bit , and let it soothe.

What an extraordinarily beautiful song by Nilsson! I love it. Never heard it before, so thanks so much for sharing.

We don't only remember in our meat/mud way because we also have a fully engaged spirit that brings the One of the Fullness into us. Our One is still plugged in to the Fullness. Our Aeonic parents are right here with us. I don't think we are making this memory up from our meat, nor inventing it whole-cloth because it is a universal memory common to all. When our pets are dreaming, I think they are romping in the Elysium Fields, not worrying about whether their dream is "real." You can certainly connect to the heavenly realm with your One spirit. Trust in hope, trust in love, trust in redemption.

We "of the remembrance" are not the pre-existing consciousness of Father, Son and Pleroma, but we can "remember" that as whence we came, unless we forget, and if we forget, then we are about the same as the other entities of the deficiency, with ego, and personal mind, but not linked into overall consciousness, whence we originate, and not linked to our other "remembering" brothers and sisters in consciousnesses.

When we get in fights we become the enemy and forget, which is a way of losing, even if we "win".

Yes. Precisely. The difference is that we have the ability to remember, whereas the imitations do not. The Tripartite Tractate also says that those who were not from the beginning (the imitations of the deficiency) will not move onward and upward at the end of time, but will evaporate once the demiurgic ego wakes up and rejoins his better self.

I would like to remember better than I do.
