Amen, amen, and amen. This was so uplifting and so beautifully articulated. I appreciate your gift and ability to clarify these bible passages to reveal the messages and more than anything , always a focus on love. What the world really needs now, just like that old song said. Thank you Cyd.
Thank you for saying so, Gabriella. You are much appreciated! I wish I could share this with the lady who criticized my party, but I don't think she would understand a word of it.
Well, it's easy enough to see where your neighbor's perspective comes from, and she is probably inclined to us/them tribalism, so...
In Paul's letter to the Corinthians, he wrote "I would not eat meat if it would offend my brother", and I think he meant meat that had been sacrificed to a "god" that was not the Loving Father.
Who is your "brother"? This is not murder or theft...
In his letter to the Thessalonians Paul wrote, "Avoid all appearances of evil." Again, where is the line?
Is this a stumbling block being created for somebody, or just people on similar, but separate paths?
One must draw the line somewhere, and probably not at this party.
"Excommunicated" (but real) Catholic Archbishop Vigano has drawn a clear line. [I voted for Jill Stein MD, against genocide last week.]
Former Vatican ambassador to US calls Harris ‘an infernal monster who obeys Satan’
Well, this seemed like good, clean fun. No actual evil worship occurred. Neighbors thankful to gather together. And, of course, cyd's ego was delighted to perform for the crowd. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=W32WpMUEi5A

Lovin' Spoonful, "Do You Believe in Magic?"
;-)
Here's the YouTube link to the aforementioned party. A peek into my world. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=W32WpMUEi5A
BTW, I'm not pro-magic or witchcraft--it's a costume.
