What a glorious promise! The Christ has all of the Power of Redemption and return to the Fullness of God. We are part of the Fullness, even though we are within this material cosmos. There is no way to diminish God and the Fullness. As it was in the beginning, is now and ever shall be. This is such a clear statement that nothing that has emanated from the Father can ever be lost. We are within the Father and this originating consciousness cannot be diminished. Can I get an Amen! ?
Universal salvation, that thought is such a welcome idea. It allows me to feel optimistic that the more who can truly invite that idea into their lives will help to dispel the divisive energies which abound between so many in the world in these times. I'm loving your podcasts, your discussions of gnosis are with such ease and peace. They are leading me to rethink some tired old ideas of mine into more gentle and refreshing ones. Thank you....and amen !
Thank you so much for your positive comment, Gabriella. I am so glad you are finding the podcasts helpful and encouraging. That's wonderful. Onward and upward!
"I had my own personal relationship with Jesus ever since I was about four or five years old. And so I came up under the tutelage of Jesus personally, as opposed to what the church was teaching me."
Hi John. Do you identify as Buddhist? Did you have a Christian upbringing and then switch away from that religion? If so, I wonder if the gnosis I have been sharing here has had any effect on your current view of the role of the Christ? Just wondering...
I went through a "crisis of Christianity" in the 1990s, reading some works of Elaine Pagels, The Gnostic Gospels, and the Gospel of Thomas, after being raised in The Church of Christ, and reading the whole Bible by the age of 15. I felt that Jesus guided me to a Buddhist teacher and Sangha when a Tibetan Lama came to Austin in the Spring of 2001 and I was able to begin getting teachings and practice. We met the evening of 9/11/01 for our practice, and I was introduced to Tonglen compassion-meditation, where one takes in the heaviness and suffering of others, and sends them light, love and comfort.
I am still a practicing Buddhist, and never "renounced" Jesus. All truth is in agreement. I seek truth.
My intellectual "understanding" is less important than my acceptance of Divine guidance, and my knowing of truth and of the connections of our souls.
